  i thought i would open up a thread on firearms and shooting.

  personally i was raised around firearms as my dad was not a jw.

  some of my earliest memories are of my dad teaching me how to put a round in a fleas ass at 200 meters.

  I have a Springfield Armory .45 1911, a Romanian AK-47 (SAR-1), a Mossberg 590 12 GA (pistol grip, 18.5" barrel), A Remington 710 in .300 Win Mag, A replica Remington model 1858 .44 black powder revolver, A Ruger Vaquero Single Action in .45 Long Colt, A Desert Eagle .50 AE. I love them all.

  What kind of funeral will you have?

  i know that this is a morbid topic, but i often wonder what kind of funeral that i should have.

  i mean, i'm not associated with any religion.

  i don't want a preacher there speaking about the afterlife or trying to recruit followers.

  I too would like to have the Viking/Celtic funeral. There is something very cool about the idea of a burning dragon ship being set out to sea with me and my weapons in it.

  Inactive people, who show up only for the memorial.

  i have a friend who has been inactive as a witness for nearly six years.

  yesterday i mentioned that i had wednesday off and wanted to see if they wanted to get something done wednesday, we had been trying to find time for, for awhile now.

  out of the blue, they said "i can't, the memorial is wednesday.

  Medicinal Marijuana laws going back to Federal Court

  the justices have come down against allowing the sick and dying to use the drug to ease their symptoms and possibly prolong life.

  however, the door has never been fully closed, and now a federal appeals court is set to hear arguments in the latest round of legal wrangling over the issue.. the case to be argued monday before the 9th u.s. circuit court of appeals in san francisco narrows the matter to the so-called right to life theory: that marijuana should be allowed if it is the only viable option to keep a patient alive or free of excruciating pain.. it would apply only to the sickest patients and their suppliers, regardless of whether they live in one of the 11 mostly western states that allow medical marijuana.. "a victory would affect people who are very seriously ill, facing death or great physical suffering," said randy barnett, a boston university law school professor working on the case.. the case was brought by angel raich, a 40-year-old mother of two from oakland who suffers from scoliosis, a brain tumor, chronic nausea and other ailments.

  she uses marijuana every couple of hours to ease her pain and bolster her appetite.. "she'd probably be dead without marijuana," said her doctor, frank lucido, who has recommended marijuana for some 3,000 patients.
